Bibliography of Translations from the Chinese Buddhist Canon into Western Languages (Marcus Bingenheimer)
Language: English, Titles listed in original language, with Chinese (UTF-8).
Self description: "This is a working bibliography of translations from the Chinese Canon with the aim of later inputting these to enable parallel reading of the original and the translation. Generally, I have limited it to translations that were done from the Chinese, or with the help of a Chinese version (in case of doubt they were included). Translations from languages other than Chinese were in principle not included or mentioned only in passim. As for target languages, "western" means every European language. A bibliography of translations into Japanese, Korean, Tibetan or modern Chinese, though of course desirable, does so far exceed our resources. The biggest gaps are in Chan/Zen-related texts, translations done in the nineties, and translations that appeared as articles."
Description: The translations are sorted by Taisho number, Chinese characters and Pinyin are also given. This site is part of the "CBS Comprehensive Online Buddhist Resources" (http://ccbs.ntu.edu.tw/), but has no direct link.

Language: English.
Self description: "[... This] catalogue has been devised in the framework of the DFG Project on "State and Handicrafts in Peking, 1700-1900" and in cooperation with the Qinghua University Institute for the History of Science and Technology and Ancient Documents. It is based on Wang Shixiang's list first published in Yanjing xuebao in 1995 which has been reprinted and expanded in the first two volumes of Qingdai jiangzuo zeli. [...] Since those lists were published, further bibliographical research has brought more texts to light, so that our knowledge about handicraft regulations is constantly increasing. [...] Our main criterion for classification is the text type as designated in the book titles. Below that level, the list is arranged topically and chronologically. An alphabetic pinyin title index is appended."
Site contents: (1) Regulations and precedents (zeli 則例); (2) Measurement inventories (qingce 清冊); (3) Technical instructions (zuofa 作法); (4) Handbooks of calculation for construction (fenfa 分法); (5) Prices of materials and wages (wujia he gongjia 物價和工價); (6) Appendices (List of printed catalogues; List of online catalogues; Pinyin title index; Statistics)

Chinese, Japanese and Western Research in Chinese Historical Metrology: A Classified Bibliography (1925-2002) (Ulrich Theobald and Hans Ulrich Vogel, Institute for Sinology and Korean Studies, University of Tübingen, Germany; 2004)
Language: English.
Self description: "The historical subjects covered by this bibliography span from the origin of the Chinese civilisation until the Qing period (1644-1911), with the inclusion of some entries referring to the Republican Period and the PRC as well as to music, as far as it focuses on metrological problems. We have tried to be as inclusive as possible in the collection of materials and the compilation of the entries, but given the output of publications nowadays and the often very marginal character of publications dealing with historical metrology this can only be a first attempt at providing historians, especially those investigating economic and institutional history, with a reference tool that may prove helpful for their research. We have not only included articles and books written in Chinese and English, but also such in Japanese, French, German, Russian, and even Korean."
Description: This is an impressive list of both monographs and articles on the topic, although annotations to the works listed (or at least to the more important ones) are direly missing, as are introductory remarks on each chapter.
Site contents: (1) General Surveys on the History of Weighing and Measuring in China; (2) The Pre-Zhou Period; (3) Histories of Length Measuring from the Zhou to the Qing Period; (4) History on Capacity Measuring from the Zhou to the Qing Period; (5) History of Weighing from the Zhou to the Qing Period; (6) History of Area Measuring from the Zhou to the Qing Period; (7) Chinese Music (selected bibliography concerning measuring in music); (8) Varia Concerning Weights and Measures.

Self description: "Compilation of this bibliography began in 1971 and has grown over the years with frequent additions. [...] For several years, Running Bibliographies, Members Bibliographies and Special Subject Bibliographies were published [in the newsletter of the East Asian Archaeology Network - ed. ...] All the published references in these bibliographies have been dumped into the big bibliography presented here, organised by author surname. Language: English.
Self description: "On the web it is difficult to get accurate information about Uyghur history and culture. This page is an online introduction to Uyghur history and culture, and to my research on the politics of Uyghur musical history. Many of the sources I have linked here are biased presentations, either assuming with the Chinese that what they call the Xinjiang (meaning "New Territory") Uygur Autonomous Region was always a part of China, or presenting the Uyghur nationalist view that there should be a separate Uyghur state. This makes these interesting materials to read, but highly rhetorical. The Xinjiang region is neither purely Uyghur, nor historically a part of China. [...] I have created this page in order to help non-Uyghurs to go beyond limited ideas about Uyghur culture and history based in popularized archeology and romanticized travel accounts, towards a deeper recognition of the Uyghurs' rich cultural traditions that endure despite present political difficulties and economic changes."
Site contents: (1) Basic Information Sources (Maps; Satellite Images; Online Databases; Uyghur Language; Unicode Google Searches); (2) News Sources; (3) Uyghur Culture (Music, Films, Art, Literature); (4) Activist and Nationalist Sites and Analysis; (5) Politics of history, especially lingering racist mythologies; (6) Travel and Photographs; (7) Bibliographies on Uyghur History, Literature and Culture; (8) Photos of Uyghur Life, Art and Material Culture.
