    Description: This is the Chinese version of the well known free content encyclopedia project Wikipedia. Wiki means that anyone can add new or edit existing articles. Begun in January 2001, by the end of 2004 the English version contained some 460,000 entries; the Chinese version had about 19,000 entries. The wealth of information is staggering, although this resources should be used with caution.

A three-year project, funded by the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange in Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C., which got underway in September 1999, aimed to establish the "Research Unit on Taiwanese Culture and Literature" as a forum of contact and cooperation in the field of Taiwan Studies in order to counter the marginalization of Taiwan research. The "Research Unit" was inaugurated on 13 November 2002 as an official part of the Faculty of East Asian Studies, Ruhr University Bochum. As such, it will continue to expand its cooperation with Taiwan specialists and institutions and consolidate its standing as a platform for scholarly exchange in the field."

    The Association for Asian Studies was founded in 1941, originally as publisher of the Far Eastern Quarterly. Besides publishing several newsletters and journals on Asian Studies (such as the Journal of Asian Studies, the Asian Studies Newsletter etc.) the AAS holds annual meetings which are devoted to planned programs of scholarly papers, round table discussions and panel sessions on a wide range of problems in research and teaching, and on Asian affairs in general.

Covey, the Tang Research Foundation aims at improving the cooperation between China and the United States in studying ancient Chinese History, especially the Tang dynasty. TRF is publisher of the journal Tangdai yanjiu 唐代研究 and the series Tangdai yanjiu jijinhui congshu 唐代研究基金會叢書. Their webpage offers some corporate information and access to the table of contents of the above mentioned journal and series. Links to a few Tang dynasty poems are also provided.
